Who are they? - Time for some introductions.
James Bourne : An 21-year-old Virgo from Southend-On-Sea with two brothers and one sister. He's carefully spoken - but don't let that fool you, this boy can party with the best of them. He's as obsessed with *NSYNC as he is with Blink 182! He's alarmingly athletic and this chap's spare time is spent surfing, playing tennis, and shooting pool. His dream is to sit down and write a song with Michael Jackson.
Charlie Simpson : The Ipswich boy, the youngest of three brothers, with the sort of modellish good looks! He loves the Deftones and Jimmy Eat World and Charlie's only 19! He is Busted's resident posh crumpet although they say hes the messiest of the three! He dimly recalls being busted for smoking. The punishment: detention.
Matt Jay : If you're after a bit of rough then this is your man. The 21-year-old Kingston boy's already had a garage single out. He's the sort of outspoken guy pop needs more of - he's like The Streets meets Jamie Oliver meets a little Johnny Rotten. All mouth, plenty of trouser. Obviously he's lost count of the things for which he's been busted! He has a lifelong obsession with West Ham which has equipped Mattie with the ability to look failure in the face; hardly something he'll be thinking of in Busted.

How did they meet?

Matt met James at a gig and the two hit it off straight away! They decided to form their own band. They needed another member though so they placed an ad in the music press. Enter Charlie! He joined the band at the end of October last year. They gelled, they bonded, they wrote, they recorded..., and by March 2002 they were signed to Universal.Busted changed the face of pop in British music. They hit the scene in September 2002 with first single, "What I Go To School For". Matt Willis (21), James Bourne (21) and Charlie Simpson (19) hit the #3 spot which excelled them into pop stardom. With cheeky lyrics, typical pop melodies and a mixture of vocals, Busted's music is very different to anything out there. What I Go To School For was followed up by the next six singles: Year 3000 (#2), You Said No (#1), Sleeping With The Light On (#3), Crashed The Wedding (#1), Who's David (#1) and Air Hostess (#2).
Busted made chart history in 2003 and gained a mention in the Guinness Book of World Records. They were the first UK act ever to have their first three singles enter the chart consecutively at numbers 3, then 2 then 1. Both Busted's albums, the self-titled "Busted" (2002) and the follow-up "A Present For Everyone" (2003) have hit the album charts at #2 and stayed in the Top 40 for a substantial amount of time.
With a sell-out UK theatre tour and sell-out UK arena tour Busted are the biggest pop act in Britain right now. Their eyes are set on America for the forseeable future and they seem to have made quite an impact on their first visit in May 2004. They played Wango Tango in California and WBLI Summer Jam in New York along with some of the hottest acts in America.
Busted have made their mark in the British Music Industry and James said it best: "we're gonna be around as long as the fans want us to be around. I don't think the fans have got anything to worry about!"
